Welcome to 18 Clues! As you haven't bought from us before, please select the POSTAL delivery format option at checkout for your first order. We will then send a Welcome Card with tips, offers and other information with your first Challenge(s). For subsequent orders, you will be able to choose between POSTAL or PDF Download.
How 18 Clues Works
You go to our Challenge Shop and purchase one or more of our 18 Clues Challenges. You can choose a Walking Challenge, which requires you to visit the location and find the clues in person, and/or a Virtual ('Armchair') Challenge, which you can complete online, anywhere you choose, using tools such as what3words, Google Maps and your preferred search engine. Solve all 18 clues correctly and you will be left with the correct solution to the Challenge, which you can then submit online to be entered into an amazing prize draw.
All clues, facts and solutions in the Walking and Virtual Challenge versions are different, so if you are able to visit the Challenge location you can complete both Challenge versions to double your chances of winning the prize. As you explore the location, be it physically or virtually, you will learn loads of interesting facts... but best of all, a healthy percentage of the price of each Challenge or Gift Voucher you buy will be donated to an animal welfare and/or environmental charity.

You can choose to have the gift voucher emailed to yourself to print out and present in person, or you can opt to have the voucher emailed directly to the recipient on a date that you pre-schedule.
If you choose to have the gift voucher emailed to yourself, you can buy a stylish presentation sleeve from our Challenge Shop for just £2, including postal charges. You then simply insert the voucher you have purchased and present to your friend or loved one.
£1 for each £10 spent on gift vouchers and £1 for each presentation sleeve purchased will be donated to animal and/or environmental charities.
IMPORTANT: If you are buying a Challenge for others, always buy a gift voucher. Why? Whenever you purchase a Challenge through the Challenge Shop, a Unique Reference Number (URN) is generated that is specifically linked to you and your contact details, so only you will be able to request answers to clues or submit the final answer. If, however, you buy someone a gift voucher, they can choose whichever Challenge(s) they wish, and when they redeem their voucher they will be registered as a member in their own right.

From the cheeky charm of its ‘Scouser’ residents to the eclectic mix of Georgian grandeur, modern street art, and its amazing musical heritage, Liverpool has a vibe that is hard to resist. Coupled with the Beatles’ legacy that lingers around every corner, a maritime history of global importance, iconic landmarks galore, and irrepressible ‘footy’ fervour, the offerings of this great city are endless. Its quirks are as infectious as the local accent!
However, all of this is in peril! A criminal gang is plotting to steal Bella and Bertie, the two gigantic liver birds that stand atop the Royal Liver Building watching over the sea, city and residents. According to legend, this could have disastrous consequences for Liverpool! Can you locate the gang’s HQ and save the day?
