ABOUT THIS CHALLENGE
The Charity... 18 Clues proudly supports animal and environmental charities at home and abroad. Each time we add a new set of Challenges to our portfolio, we select an additional inspirational charity to donate to on a quarterly basis. In this instance we chose to add Blue Cross to our list of charties. Blue Cross has helped sick, injured and homeless pets since 1897. In addition to providing veterinary care, re-homing services, and pet bereavement support, the charity also promotes responsible pet ownership and animal welfare. It works to ensure every pet has a happy and healthy life.
The Location... Famous worldwide for its prestigious university, Oxford is a charming little city packed with history, incredible architecture, quirky traditions, and a large dollop of eccentricity. The more you discover about Oxford, the more you’ll want to discover!
The Challenge... Correctly solve 18 clues to identify a chemical element crucial to ground-breaking scientific research being undertaken by a group of scholars at Oxford University.
USEFUL INFORMATION
The Walking version is around 3.2 miles long and is relatively flat and easy to negotiate. It will take up to three hours to complete, although allow longer for refreshment stops, picnics, and/or taking in points of interest along the way. As with any of our Challenges, you may start at any Clue, although if you are arriving by train, Clue 1 is the logical starting point.
The Virtual version will take up to two hours to complete, although you can, of course, start and stop whenever you wish. You never know where you will pop up next to find and solve a clue!
Clues, facts and solutions for the two versions are completely different, so if you live near or are visiting Oxford, why not buy both the Walking and Virtual versions to discover more and enhance your chances of winning the prize draw?
